The long, dark nights this time of year are a good time to burrow with your favorite books and what better way to keep them all together than our Jarvie-style bookends! Scotsman Robert Jarvie (1865-1941) was an active artist and designer during the early 20th century Arts and Crafts movement. He created this design between 1905-1912 in his Chicago Illinois workshop. Anselmo has beautifully articulated the leaf in repousse' and contrasted the leaf's smooth surface with a heavily textured background.

Albert Berry (1880-1949) immigrated from England at a young age and studied at the Rhode Island School of Design. After years of work in design he moved to Alaska and worked as a miner. The natural beauty of Alaska and the Pacific Northwest fascinated him. His work was heavily influenced by Alaskan and Northwest motifs which made his Arts and Crafts copperwork unique. We made this tray in 2014 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Cobre Copper. It was inspired by an Arts & Crafts tray and artist Anselmo Miranda has made a beautiful rendition.
