Cobre's expanded offering of wall art features beautifully reproduced images of Gustave Baumann woodcuts. Gustave Baumann (1881-1971) created color woodcut prints of American rural landscapes. Baumann was active in the era before photo-reproduction replaced wood engraving. He was active in the Chicago and Indiana countryside until he took a trip to Taos, NM.....which then became home. He lived in the Santa Fe area for more than 50 years and carved into wood southwestern landscapes and spring and summer gardens and orchards. His prints are awash in brilliant, hand-ground pigments. About our frames: Dard Hunter Studios makes our Oak Park frames that are beautifully hand-finished in quarter sawn white oak . Prints are matted and backed with archival materials. Lucia Mathews and her husband, Arthur, thrived in the Bay Area at the turn of the early 20th century and helped develop a unique California style of the Arts and Crafts Movement that swept America at that time. Recreated with permission from the Oakland Museum of California we are thrilled to offer this limited edition digital print. Grueby Faience Company was founded in 1894 by William Grueby who was inspired by the matte glazes on French pottery, particularly the cucumber green that became the company's hallmark, and the refined simplicity of Japanese ceramics. In its heyday Grueby was sold through Tiffany Studios in New York City and Gustav Stickley who incorporated their tiles in his furniture. Alas, due to bankruptcy, a fire and eventual sale the company closed for good in 1920. This beauty measures 12" high and has a subtle, abstracted leaf and pod design in repousse.

Our copper bowl was inspired by a clay pot made by the "Paul Revere Pottery" studio, active during the early 20th century. Our copper bowl makes a wonderful centerpiece and it's also great as a "catch-all". I have one in my kitchen and it's always full of something!

We first saw this bowl in the dining room at the famous Greene and Green Gamble Home Museum in Pasadena, California in the mid-1990's. We liked it so much we decided to make it in copper and it's been a hit ever since. This bowl is water-tight and perfect for floating your favorite flowers - a cheerful accent for your home.
