Our new plate was inspired by the Handicraft Guild of Minneapolis (1904-1918). The Guild was founded, led and staffed primarily by women making it historically significant to the women’s arts movement nationwide. The Guild was a training studio for many aspiring artists in the city.
Ernest Bachelder was a major figure at the Guild prior to moving to California to open his tile business.
