After moving to the Southwest in 1918, Gustave Baumann (1881-1971) purchased a Chevrolet car in 1920 that allowed him to explore the Southwest and eventualy the Pacific Coast. Baumann loved the Sequoia National Forest and the redwoods near San Francisco which inspired this print “Singing Trees”.
