The long, dark nights this time of year are a good time to burrow with your favorite books and what better way to keep them all together than our Jarvie-style bookends! Scotsman Robert Jarvie (1865-1941) was an active artist and designer during the early 20th century Arts and Crafts movement. He created this design between 1905-1912 in his Chicago Illinois workshop. Anselmo has beautifully articulated the leaf in repousse' and contrasted the leaf's smooth surface with a heavily textured background.

This hand hammered copper plaque features a "Seed Pod" design, originally created in the Gustav Stickley workshop (1858-1942). Stickley was recognized as an originator of American Craftsman-style design and was famous for his quarter-sawn oak furniture as well as metalwork. Click additional images to view "seed pod" detail.

Fall is my favorite time of year when the ginkgo trees in my neighborhood and they have begun to turn a rich golden yellow.

We made this tray in 2014 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Cobre Copper. It was inspired by an Arts & Crafts tray and artist Anselmo Miranda has made a beautiful rendition.
