Occasionally we venture into the world of English Arts & Crafts. This design, originally crafted of pewter in late 19th century England, is reminiscent of ancient "sea monster" stories that fascinated Europeans for centuries, especially during the Age of Discovery. Albert Berry (1880-1949) immigrated from England at a young age and studied at the Rhode Island School of Design. After years of work in design he moved to Alaska and worked as a miner. The natural beauty of Alaska and the Pacific Northwest fascinated him. His work was heavily influenced by Alaskan and Northwest motifs which made his Arts and Crafts copperwork unique.
